Next Thursday, December 26 at 10:30 a.m. the already traditional Sant Silvestre del Masnou will be celebrated, organized by the Masnou and La Sansi Town Council.
More than 2,300 numbers have been sold out, with a record number of entries in its 45 editions.
The 5 km Sant Silvestre del Masnou circuit is approved by the Catalan Federation with only two turns, with start and finish at the national II, right in front of Masnou Town Hall.
The 5 km race will start at 10.30 am. and the children's race will take place at 11.30 am.
In 2020 during the pandemic, only three races were held at the end of the year, the Sant Silvestre Vallecana, the Cursa dels Nassos and the Sant Silvestre del Masnou, the latter two managed by La Sansi.
The winner of the last 3 editions has confirmed his participation, the international athlete Dmitrijs Serjogins (Latvia - La Sansi), champion among others of the Jean Bouin 2023 who will have, among others, top rivals in the 2nd ranked edition previous Toni Baños, and the Moroccans Ait Samir, Abdessamad Moujan and Soufiane Abrouk.
In the women's category, Laura Heredia, second in the previous edition and participating in the Paris Olympic Games in modern pentathlon, has confirmed her participation. They have also confirmed Rebeca Suárez (La Sansi), winner of the 2023 Jean Bouin 5 km and 3rd in the previous edition, and the Latvian Katija Valtere, champion in 2019, and 3rd in 2022.
Athletes from 20 other countries will participate, Germany, Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Honduras, Ireland, Latvia, Holland, Morocco, England, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Romania, Singapore and France.
